We set out to create an election consulting firm equipped for modern campaigns—applying lessons learned to develop forward-thinking strategies that defend public education and help communities invest in their children’s future. Rather than working for individual campaigns, our model utilizes shared resources to strengthen Public education in ohio.

2025 Yes For Westerville Schools Campaign Kickoff Event
In November 2024, Westerville Schools’ Bond Issue and Property tax levy was defeated by a 52%-46% margin, forcing millions in Budget Cuts and necessitating $20 million more if the 2025 levy failed. This was the fork in the road moment that got The FIRE Team Involved. Emma stepped up to serve as Campaign Chair, while John volunteered as WEA (teachers’ union) PAC Chair. Together, Emma, John, and their team changed the equation.
12 Months later, in November 2025, Westerville voters passed the district’s 0.75% earned income tax levy, securing approximately $24.3 million annually to protect academic programs, maintain class sizes, and avoid deep staffing cuts. This ballot issue passed 60.85%-39.15% despite an organized, well-funded opposition supported by the Republican Party in Central Ohio.

At FIRE Consulting, we aren’t motivated by a paycheck; we are motivated by the desire to bring the lessons we learned fighting for Public Education in Westerville to communities around Ohio. We are fighting for our colleagues, students, and our own children to have the resources and experiences in our schools that strengthen our communities and our future.
